Repair Cafe
Regular Events
We run an array of events throughout the year that support our aims and the community. Below is some information about our regular events that occur throughout the year.
We are always open to new ideas - so contact us if you have any ideas for an event in Bradninch.
Repair Café
Bring your items to our next regular, two-monthly, Repair Cafe where volunteers will try and mend your broken items. We’ll take a look at toys, clothes, bikes, lawnmowers, electrical items, or anything from your house or garden that is broken or not working.
People, Planet, Pint
Pop down to your local People Planet Pint meetup to find more about what's going on locally with sustainability and how you can get involved.
No pitches, powerpoints or panels. We welcome everyone, regardless of their experience or background. People Planet Pint is a space where everyone can feel comfortable learning about sustainability and sharing their ideas.
Afterall, creating a sustainable future requires connected communities. And what better way to bring everyone together than over a drink?
Talks and Films
Every month through the winter months we show environmental films or host a talk about an issue or project that is worth talking about. They are free and there’s usually refreshments available. Everyone is always welcome. In 2025 we have so far hosted talks and films about food, farming, soil, water and nature based solutions to climate issues.
Jumble Trails
A Jumble Trail is like a jumble or table top sale, but instead of being based in a single place stalls are in and around Bradninch. There is a map so you can track down the best bargains in town. This happens once or twice a year. It’s fun to host a stall too as your friends and neighbours will come and buy your unwanted or outgrown items. It’s a great way to raise money for a good cause.
Gin Swish
A clothes swap or swish is a great way to pass on good quality clothes and find new-to-you items. In Bradninch we do these in style as they are always accompanied by a gin bar and wellness stalls too. There’s usually one in spring and autumn. Generally people bring up to 5 items, an entrance fee is charged, and you get a free glass of prosecco on entry too! More information on Gin Swish can be found here.
Nature Photography Competition
Have you enjoyed the photos on our website? Some of them are award winning!
Every summer we open a form for entries to our very own Bradninch Nature Photographer of the Year Competition. Photos must have been taken by the photographer within a 3 mile radius of Bradninch. Children can enter the Youth category.
The photos are judged by our team of expert judges, including the Mayor of Bradninch, a local naturalist and an art expert. Shortlisted photos are displayed at Bradninch Town Fair in September to choose the People's Choice category.
